Create a Company.

In this tutorial, we will see how to create an organization in Odoo ERP.

  • Go to Settings > Company.
  • Click on the “Create Company”.
  • Choose the Logo(the image).
  • Enter Name, Address & Phone number, etc..

Create a project in odoo

To create a new project, go to the Projects module and click on “Create New”.

A window will pop up where you can enter the name of your project and other details. You can also choose which module should be associated with this project by checking its checkbox. For example, if you have chosen Accounting as one of your modules, then all invoices related to this particular project will be created in the Accounting module instead of the Sales or Purchase modules.

Create a new task

To create a new task, you’ll need to first select the project and then choose the task type. After that, you can set the status of your task (this will determine how it is displayed in Odoo), as well as its priority and duration. Finally, add a description for your new project activity by clicking on “description” at the bottom of this page.

Create Tasks Analysis Report in Odoo ERP

Odoo ERP offers a lot of inbuilt reports that you can use to analyze your data. One such report is Task Analysis Report. You can create a task analysis report with project and task, or project, task, and team members.

Configure Project with other modules like Activity Types, Tags, and Status

In order to configure projects, you need to define the following:

  • Activity Types – These are used for creating activities and tasks.
  • Tags – You can use tags to categorize your project information. For example, you might create a tag called “Client” that is associated with all projects that have that client as a customer.
  • Status – This is the current state of the project (for example, Active or Completed).
