Quotation Builder for Trading Companies with Odoo ERP

Introduction

Quotation builder is a module that allows you to create quotes based on products and variants. Quotation builder allows you to select the product SKU, and quantity, add a discount, and price per unit and apply sales tax at a different rate for different customer groups. When a quote is created, it will be sent as an email to the customers with an order confirmation and a PDF attachment showing the products included in the quote. The customer can then approve or reject the quote. If approved, they will be able to add comments to it if needed.

Quotation builder is a module that allows you to create quotes based on products and variants.

A quote is a document that lists the products and quantities that are being sold to a customer. It’s created in the form of an email, which usually includes all the information needed for both parties involved to complete the sale.

In your store, you can create quotes based on products and variants (which are essentially different versions of your product). The quote builder module helps you do this by allowing users to select their preferred items from dropdown menus or search fields, add them up as they go along (to keep track), then finally send out their creations as emails with all relevant details included.

Here is an Example Screen of the Odoo Quotation Builder –

Quotation Builder adding Products

Quotation builder allows you to select the product SKU, and quantity, add a discount, and price per unit, and apply sales tax at a different rate for different customer groups.

If you are a retailer and want to create a quotation for your customer, simply follow these steps:

  • Select the product SKU that you want to quote.
  • Enter the number of products that you wish to quote at this time (Minimum 1 unit).
  • Add any discount or promotion codes if applicable and click on “Apply”.

Once all details are entered in the above fields, you can now see an estimated total price before adding any extra charges such as shipping cost or sales tax, etc., based on which country/state taxes apply.

When a quote is created, it will be sent as an email to the customers with an order confirmation and a PDF attachment showing the products included in the quote.

If they approve it, we’ll go ahead and create their order for them. If not, no worries–you can always start over and create another one!

Send Quotation By Email Screen

The customer can then approve or reject the quote.

Once the quote is complete, you can send it to your customer for approval. After they’ve reviewed their new quote and had a chance to add any comments or notes, they’ll be able to approve or reject it within 24 hours. If they choose to reject the quote, we’ll send you an email with details so that you can make any changes needed before resubmitting.

If all goes well and everything looks good on both sides of this transaction (meaning no one has rejected anything), then we will send an email containing both an HTML version of your invoice as well as a PDF attachment showing all products included in your invoice at once–it’s like getting two emails in one!

If approved, they will be able to add comments to it if needed.

Customer Quotation Approval Screen

If you’re a customer who has been quoted for a product, you will be able to add comments to your quote. This is useful if there are mistakes or missing information in the original quote.

Your sales team will not see these comments unless they go into the system and look at them specifically (and even then it’s only visible on that particular quote). All other quotes will remain unaffected by any changes made by customers.

If approved by the customer, these edits and deletions can be saved permanently and reused if needed again in future orders from this company/person!
